Nivea says she’s finally in remission just a few months after she revealed her battle with cancer. 

The seasoned R&B singer revealed the amazing news during her appearance on “The Tamron Hall Show” on Wednesday, October 7. Nivea was recently diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia, also known as “CML,” and had been undergoing regular treatment. Her oncologist, Dr. Colin Vale, also joined her to discuss her treatment. Nivea is actively participating in a clinical trial of an FDA-approved targeted medication that will stop the growth of cancer in her bone marrow. At first, the singer was skeptical, but Dr. Vale reassured her that it would work.

Now that she’s recovering, Nivea is also making a comeback to music. She gave Tamron and the audience a special preview of her new song “Ferris Wheel” coming soon.
